From Firehouse Garage to Firehouse Closets
Firehouse Closets grew from the team and reputation behind Firehouse Garage & Closets, a company that has helped homeowners across DFW transform garages and storage spaces for years.
Along the way, something became clear.
Our clients didn't only need better garages. They were looking for the same thoughtful approach to organization throughout their homes.
Walk-in closets. Reach-in closets. Pantries. Laundry rooms. Mudrooms. Home offices. Built-ins.
These spaces may look different, but the problem is often the same: a home can have plenty of square footage and still lack storage that makes sense.
Firehouse Closets was created to give these interior spaces the specialized attention they deserve while carrying forward the values and standards that have shaped the Firehouse name.

The word "custom" gets used a lot in our industry.
To us, it should actually mean something.
We aren't designing around a warehouse full of material we need to move, and we're not interested in giving every homeowner a slightly modified version of the same layout.
We follow proven design principles and industry standards, but every project is considered individually.
Your home is different.
Your belongings are different.
Your routines are different.
Your priorities are different.
Your storage should reflect that.
Our designers think through dimensions, hanging space, shelving, drawers, accessibility, visual balance, and the small decisions that determine whether a space simply looks organized or genuinely works better.
The goal isn't to create the most complicated design.
It's to create the right one.
The Details Matter to Us
Some of the things we're most particular about may be things you never thought to ask about.
That's okay.
We think it's our job to think about them.
Details such as scribe moulding and caulking can minimize awkward gaps. Baseboards can create a more finished appearance while making the space easier to clean. Additional top shelving can help conceal connector pieces. Careful leveling and alignment can make an entire system look cleaner and more intentional.
Individually, these may seem like small things.
Together, they're often what separates something that looks installed from something that feels built into the home.
We care about that difference.

Accountability From Beginning to End
One of the values that matters most to us is ownership.
If we're responsible for a project, we want to be responsible for the project.
That means every Firehouse Closets project receives direct oversight from an owner or project designer. You'll have someone who understands the decisions that were made, knows what the finished space is supposed to accomplish, and cares about seeing it through.
When a project requires more than cabinetry, we can also help coordinate elements such as demolition or electrical work when included in the project scope.
The goal is simple: fewer loose ends, fewer handoffs, and a smoother experience for the homeowner.
