The walls flanking a television and fireplace naturally serve as the focal point of a living room, requiring a thoughtful design balance. Originally, these two walls featured basic DIY shelving, but the homeowners envisioned a cohesive, custom look that combined display space with hidden storage.

The Firehouse team stepped in to transform both sides into seamless, functional built-ins. To maintain space for books and decorative accents, we designed open shelving across the upper section of each unit. Across the bottom, we installed crisp white shaker doors to conceal everyday clutter and establish a clean, balanced symmetry across both sides of the room. Every technical detail was accounted for, including soft-close hinges for quiet operation and strategically placed custom wire grommets to keep entertainment cables clean and hidden.

To complete the seamless look, we wrapped the base with custom baseboards and precision-fitted the casework directly against the stone fireplace, ensuring a flawless, gap-free connection. Color: White Door/Drawer color: Powder coated shaker-style Hardware: Matte black
